Chioke Rhodesians

Great news for Kabaka & Kabassa.
When I got Kabassa & Kabaka a couple of years ago they had been together every since they were 6 months old, so to say they were like sisters was to say the least. Kabaka was Kabassa's shadow, they had a bond so strong I had never seen anything like it before. I don't think they had a very good life before they got here. After I had them for about a year they kind of lost that shadow type bond. They learned people loved them and really began to make some progress. Kabassa more than Kabaka, but today they are a lot different than they were the day I brought them home. When they turned 5, I spayed them and put them on my website, in hopes to find a forever home for them. About 2 months after I put them on my website I received this email.
Hi Diane,

We puchased one of your puppies 2 years ago. I'm pretty sure Kabaka was his mother. We have been thinking of adding to our family. Angus is by far the best dog we have ever owned. I would like to talk to you and see if she would fit in with the rest of the household.  It is currently Friday evening, if you get this message, feel free to call, we stay up late!!! Thank you so much.

Judy

Needless to say I called her right away. Kabaka was Angus's mom and Kabaka being such a great mother I just knew she'd know he was her baby. I kept in touch with Judy and the week she was to come and pick her up she told me her ex-husband
was thinking about taking Kabassa. I was so excited I could hardly stand it because Judy was going to be dog sitting for him on the weekends so Kabassa & Kabaka would still be able to spend time with one another. The day before Judy was to come I bathed both girls, cut their toe nails and cleaned their ears. They were now ready for their new forever homes. Judy, her husband, girls and Angus packed up the car and headed to Tennessee. I swear Kabaka knew Angus was her baby, she kept sniffing him all over. Kabaka sniffed him once and that was enough for her. After a nice visit they loaded up the dogs and headed back to Florida.
I'm so thankful to Judy for not only giving Angus a great life but his mom and Kabassa as well.

An update on Kabassa and Kabaka
I received an email from Judy with an update.
Diane,

Thank you for the news on the website. A small change to report. The 2 girls are with us. I couldn't separate them after they had been together for so long. We are officially owned by all 3 now. We have lost the rest of the couch. Kabaka has taken the other half. They are soooo great. Thank you so much for everything. Have some great pictures. I'll email them tomorrow. If things don't work out with Zena, we'll take her too!!!! The yard is getting fenced next week.

I am ecstatic to say the least. The 3rd family that has owned both girls. I think they have their own angle. It don't get any better than that.

Bobbi
Bobbi was on my website for quite sometime. Someone had tried her once but it didn't work out. Bobbi was the sweetest dog I had and was going to make some lucky lady a great dog, as she was a ladies dog. I got a call from a very sweet lady that told me her Christmas wish was to get her boyfriend a ridgeback. He had lost his RR 7 years ago and he still talked about him all the time and missed him very much. So that evening she loaded up her boy friend and said we are going for a ride. 2 hours later they got to my house and he still knew nothing about what was going on. They were greeted by Jabari, a very impressive ridgeback. Then I went and got JJ, JJ was 13 weeks old and needed his own mom and dad just as much as James needed a ridgeback. Finally I went and got Bobbi to show them just in case they knew someone who may want her. James was sitting on the floor with JJ and Bobbi kept going over to James and before I knew it this "womans dog" was making out with James. She was kissing him more than she ever did me! After James and Rebecca went outside to discuss it, they came in and said they would also take Bobbi. I can't tell you how happy that made me because Bobbi has never taken to anyone like that. We walked out with them and James opened the back door and Bobbi made an attempt to jump in but it was higher than she was use to, so I called her back and told her to get in and she jumped right in, it was as if she was saying I'm ready to go home now.

I've got to tell you God is good. He brought me just the right people to take just the right dog. I believe all 3 will live happily ever after. So I want to take this time to thank him. Thank you for watching over me and my dogs.
Diane

I received a beautiful Easter basket from the Matz Family, they own 2 beautiful Chioke Rhodesians.

I have to tell you I was honored to be remembered on such a special day. It was obvious the whole Family had a hand in the making of my basket however, Jackson gave the ultimate.
Thanks Jackson
I'll treasure your well, you know.
